PLEASE RESPECT OUR POLICY ABOUT ADOPTION:
1. A.C.E. does not sell dogs but offers dogs for adoption.
The amount paid by adopters covers the relevant costs spent on your dogs and
helps to save the lives of other dogs.
2. Breeding is not allowed for adopted dogs. All dogs, except puppies under the age
of 6 months, are
castrated/sterilized before placement.
3. Dogs from A.C.E. must not be resold or placed in an asylum/internate.
4. In the event that the adopted dog cannot continue to live with you, A.C.E. will
ensure that the dog in question will be relocated to a new family.
5. Dogs of A.C.E. may under no circumstances be made available for scientific
purposes.
6. Outside Spain, puppies can only be adopted from the age of 4 months due to the
compulsory Rabies vaccination.
7. A pregnant female or female with puppies cannot leave Spain without the written
consent from our vet.
8. A.C.E. reserves the right to check on the well-being of the dogs both before and
after the adoption.
9. A.C.E. has a database, which includes all adopted dogs.
Selvfølgelig, vi som arbejder frivillig for Galgo Hjælp Danmark, kan kun bifalde disse betingelser.
Fra ACE's "NEWS LETTER 2012":
Review from the treasurer A.C.E./SHIN 2011
Ton Vandenbroek
The year has flown, many dips but also many good things have happened.
A record number of dogs has been adopted, the exact number I will know at the beginning of January but at the moment there have been more than 1100 adoptions.
The dumping of dogs is going on like never before and that has to do with the economical crisis in Spain. Many British people who have worked here have become unemployed and are now going back to their home country and are dumping their dogs massively.
Financially, things didn’t improve for us but luckily we are still managing thanks to the actions which have been organized in Belgium and Holland in the past year.
The refugio has again become more professional, 12 new kennels have been built, which have been paid for by 2 kind volunteers for which we are very grateful.
Our new English vet is doing fantastic work.
One of our biggest problems are the Dutch flights, there is still a waiting list to fly our dogs to Holland. If you have a suggestion on how to solve this, please let us know.
Also if you are here on holiday it is so easy to let a few dogs fly with you on your return flight. You don’t have to do anything, we take care of everything and at the airport our volunteers will be waiting for you.
This year a record number of difficult operations have taken place, which have cost a lot of money, but on the positive side: because of this more dogs have been saved.
We would like to thank everyone who has helped us in the past year and are hoping that we can count on you again next year, please don’t forget that we cannot do the work without you.
We would like to wish everyone a great and healthy 2012.
Ton Vandenbroek.
